These heart-healthy bars are the perfect Valentine’s Day dessert to share with your loved ones:

  1. 2 cups almonds
  2. ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut, plus additional for garnish
  3. 1 cup dark chocolate bar, chopped, plus additional for garnish
  4. ½ cup creamy almond butter
  5. ½ cup ground flax seeds
  6. ½ teaspoon sea salt
  7. ½ cup coconut oil, softened
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Pulse until ingredients form a coarse paste.
  3. Press mixture into an 8 inch x 8 inch glass baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle with coconut flakes and chopped chocolate.
  5. Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour until mixture hardens.
  6. Remove from refrigerator, cut into bars and serve.
